Teachworth Estate

Welcome.

For over 20 years we have been growing Cabernet Sauvignon from our two quaint hillside vineyards.  Nestled in the ravines of Diamond Mountain, we are only a few minutes from Calistoga, yet you would think you were a world away.  A peaceful place to grow our organic grapes and make small batches of our unique Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon.

We invite you to come visit and see for yourself. Please call 707-942-8432 to book an appointment for a tour and wine tasting.

Wines

Our current release is our 2013 vintage of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon.  2013 is proving to be one of the greatest growing years that Napa Valley has seen and our offing from our classic 2 small estate vineyards is no exception.  This vintage produced grapes of uncompromising quality and an abundant crop as well.

  • 2013 Manzanita Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2013 Rattlesnake Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2013 Estate Blend Cabernet Sauvignon

What’s New

Summer, 2018

According to Napa Valley Grapegrowers, the 2018 growing season is “picture-perfect” and the famous winemaking region  is gearing up for a “landmark harvest”.  Our estate vineyards in Calistoga are following in step with the rest of the Napa Valley. We are extremely optimistic about the quality of fruit on the vine and the 2018 vintage.

The growing season started after the February rains. Mild spring weather made for an extended bloom and at set the conditions were perfect, with sunshine, mild temperatures and no winds.

The fruit continued to ripen during the summer months and from June to early August temperatures were steady and warm with no heat spikes, creating “ideal” conditions for the final stretch before picking.

It is a beautiful quiet time to be in the Napa Valley. We hope you’ll visit us and experience the warm summer days followed by cool evenings-perfect weather to enjoy our Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. Please call and make an appointment for a tour and wine  tasting.
